Warranty Terms And Conditions

HOYS ELECTRICAL — WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Your statutory rights and your contract with your retailer are not affected by this warranty. We provide cover for this appliance subject to the following prerequisites and terms:

1. Coverage & Eligibility

  • Duration: 120 days from the date of purchase.
  • Scope: We will repair or replace defects caused by verified material or manufacturing faults, provided they are reported immediately upon discovery.
  • Geographic Limits: Applies to appliances purchased in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Valid internationally only if the appliance meets local technical/environmental specifications (e.g., voltage, frequency) and an authorized customer service network exists. Appliances bought outside the UK/ROI fall under local representative warranty terms.

2. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Fragile & Cosmetic Parts: Glass elements, light bulbs, or superficial cosmetic wear.
  • Minor Variations: Negligible deviations that do not affect the appliance’s value or fitness for purpose.
  • Environmental & Chemical Damage: Issues caused by water quality, chemical/electrochemical effects, or exceptional environmental factors.
  • Misuse & Neglect: Transport damage not caused by us, improper installation/assembly, inadequate maintenance, failure to follow operating instructions, or non-domestic/commercial use.

3. Invalidation of Warranty

We reserve the right to void this warranty if:

  • Repairs or modifications are attempted by unauthorized personnel.
  • Non-original spare parts, extras, or accessories are fitted to the appliance.
  • Staff members are subjected to physical or verbal abuse.

4. Remedy & Service Delivery

  • Resolution: Covered services are free of charge. Hoys Electrical retains sole discretion to repair or replace the unit.
  • Small Appliances & Vacuums: Must be returned or shipped to our customer service center by the customer.
  • Large Appliances: Repaired on-site.
  • Ownership: Replaced parts or units become the property of Hoys Electrical.
  • Replacement Fee: If a replacement appliance is issued, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee reflecting the usage already enjoyed.

5. Warranty Period Limitations

  • Claims or replacement parts do not extend or restart the original 120-day warranty. The warranty on all fitted spare parts expires concurrently with the appliance's original term.
  • Consequential loss compensation is excluded, except where legally mandatory.

Booking a Repair & Contact Information

To book an engineer call, you must provide your original order number and purchase receipt. We cannot process warranty requests without this information.
